Hi folks, As a "low-end budget VPS hoarder" who owns 5+ RackNerd instances across different locations, I’m getting tired of logging into multiple NerdVM control panels just to check my monthly bandwidth or reboot a frozen node. Traditional server monitors (like Uptime Kuma) are great, but they require installing heavy agents or keeping a separate backend server running. So, I am currently prototyping a Chrome Sidepanel Extension to solve this specific pain point. Key Features Implemented/Planned: 100% Client-Side & Private: It aggregates your VPS stats directly via the official SolusVM Client API. No third-party servers. Your API Keys/Hashes are stored safely within your browser's local storage (Bring Your Own Key). All-in-One Dashboard: View online status, IP lists, and high-visibility bandwidth progress bars (with over-quota warnings) for all your budget boxes in a single sidebar. Quick Power Actions: One-click to Boot, Reboot, or Shutdown your instances without leaving your current browsing tab. The Monetization Idea: I plan to keep a Free Tier for casual users (managing up to 2-3 VPS). For power users who want unlimited slots and advanced network ping tests, I am thinking of a $9.90 One-Time Lifetime Buyout (No annoying subscriptions!). Since this is my first indie-hacking project for the global market, I am feeling a bit anxious and would love to get some real feedback from the LET community: Do you see yourself using something like this? Is $9.90 Lifetime a fair price point for you? What other features would make you instantly hit the "Pay" button? (e.g., auto-shutdown when bandwidth reaches 95%?) Please drop your thoughts or feature requests below. For anyone who provides feedback in this thread, I will personally DM you a Lifetime Pro license key for FREE once it's launched on the Chrome Web Store. Thanks for your time and happy hosting!

Since I manage more than 50 VPS instances across multiple providers, it has become increasingly difficult to handle them efficiently. Is there a centralized solution that allows managing multiple VirtFusion VPS instances from different providers through a single interface?

Setting up test automation in CI is easy, making devs look at and trust the results is the hard part Coverage numbers that look great on paper but the team treats the test step like a formality because false positives trained them to ignore failures, its pavlovian at this point, test fails and everyone just hits retry without checking submitted by /u/Illustrious-Cell-695 [link] [comments]

"Using Claude Mythos Preview, researchers at Anthropic have discovered improved ways to attack cryptographic algorithms (the mathematical methods used to keep online data private). The first attack significantly weakens HAWK, a digital signature scheme that was built for a post-quantum world. The second identifies a new way to attack round-reduced AES, the most widely used symmetric cipher. These are substantial research advances, but they do not currently affect any production systems." https://www.anthropic.com/research/discovering-cryptographic-weaknesses Interesting work that doesn't have immediate implications but paints a picture of what the vulnerability and patching surface of the future might look like. submitted by /u/Soundwave_47 [link] [comments]

Friend of mine walked into a “20 year old startup” that had users on Windows 7 Home (stopped getting patches in 2020…), no anti-malware, and no password policy. Any horror/comedic/tragedy stories of setups that you’ve inherited? submitted by /u/jcom_AccessOwl [link] [comments]

Hi LET, I'm looking for two budget VPS for two separate projects. Details below: Server A — API Proxy (Hong Kong preferred, Singapore acceptable) Requirement Spec CPU 1-2 cores RAM 2 GB (1.5 GB minimum) Storage 30 GB SSD+ Bandwidth 50 Mbps+ Traffic 1 TB+ / month Port 1 Gbps shared is fine Budget $20-30 / year OS Debian 12 or Ubuntu 22.04 Renewal Same price as first term Server B — VPN Relay (Singapore or Japan preferred) Requirement Spec CPU 1 core RAM 1 GB Storage 20 GB SSD+ Bandwidth 30 Mbps+ Traffic 500 GB+ / month Budget $15-20 / year Renewal Same price as first term Important notes: No Buffalo/NY/US-East. Latency to Asia is the whole reason I'm looking for HK/SG. No "first year cheap, renewal expensive" traps. I need renewal at the same price. I'm open to both provider offers and user resells, as long as the account is clean and transferable. If you have something that fits, please reply with the offer or PM me. Thanks!

ADCS web enrollment auditing?

We have a large customer service department with 100+ agents and need contact center software that can handle high call volumes. We are looking at customer experience AI tools with real-time agent assist conversation intelligence automated quality management call center analytics and AI agents for routine support. The main goals are to reduce average handle time improve CSAT increase QA coverage speed up agent ramp time and cut manual call reviews. It also needs to integrate with our CRM and existing contact center stack without adding more work for agents. submitted by /u/ScaryCandy7262 [link] [comments]

Static shape requirements on TPU are affecting my utilization numbers negativelty whenever my batches aren't clean powers of 2 or standard token lengths. I'm padding everything to fixed boundaries and i still feel I'm underutizing compute. On GPU this doesn't seem to be as much of an issue since it handles dynamic shapes more natively. Does anyone have real numbers on % MFU loss from padding overhead? Is this something that can be measured directly? submitted by /u/Comfortable_Nail6076 [link] [comments]

The server performance is very good, and the service itself is reliable. However, the biggest issue is their customer support. They often shut down the network without any prior notice, leaving customers without any explanation or update. Support is extremely slow. It can take 7–8 hours or even longer to receive a response. The only positive thing about their support is that when they finally respond, they are friendly, professional, and usually resolve the issue. If they improve their response time and communicate planned maintenance or outages in advance, their service would be much better. Overall, the service is good, but the customer support needs significant improvement.

One-person security/platform team at a small fintech, going through SOC 2. Patching what has a fix is fine. The problem is the stuff I can't fix, because there's no patched version, or the fix breaks something. Inspector/Trivy keeps flagging it, Vanta keeps showing it red, and technically every one needs a documented risk acceptance. Most of these aren't even exploitable in our setup, sometimes it's a vulnerable function never called, transitive dep we don't use, requires network access that doesn't exist. But "trust me it's fine" doesn't fly, and writing a proper exception per CVE takes forever. So, people who've been through this what do you actually show the auditor for "not exploitable"? Is there a way to automate this discovery/evidence gathering? Or does everyone just eat the busywork / quietly ignore them and pray? submitted by /u/psycodeveloper [link] [comments]
