I'm the IT manager for a small company, something like 70 users. Lately, I've had about four users come to me about a blitz of Windows notification popups that hit their computers. Sure enough, their notification tabs were getting flooded with alerts about "your computer isn't safe," "scan with McAfee is needed," things like that. Clearing the alerts just triggers another avalanche of alerts. Initially, I thought something got added to their browsers; they all use Edge. But there wasn't a weird add-on that got pushed to them like a kind of drive-by download. I checked the list of installed programs, both via the Control Panel the way God intended it and the new Settings menu "installed apps" list. Both came up empty, they weren't the victim of a drive-by download. Digging into the notification alerts, I saw they were pointing to a strange URL https[colon-slash-slash]d9kbc46bvlls73a28fr0[dot]lcgi-protect[dot]co[dot]in Blocking it via Edge settings ended the torrent of notification alerts. I tried doing some searching on the URL or parts of it, but nothing came up in Google or Startpage or anywhere else. I've ran full disk scans with S1, and so far they've all come up with nothing. With the August 1st opt-out date looming, i'm considering moving on from Kaseya. I've got several devices that have different maturity dates, so it'll be a rolling thing. How are you managing these contracts and auto renewals? I'd love to be able to negotiate on the basis of my entire fleet (27 devices in the field), but i have to wait for each contract to expire so i'll be just buying 1to 3 or so at one time. The following situation: Debian 13 VM, running postgres database under heavy write workload crashes. As a result both the instance root volume as well as separated data volume have corrupted superblocks(both volumes were with ext4 file system). The VM is running on Openstack with KVM and Cinder(Ceph I believe). At some point the machine just died, the audit logs (pretty reliable as the machine is accessible only via unaffected bastion host) do not indicate anybody doing something on the machine at the time of the crash. I managed to recover the journal logs, they don't indicate any issues with the machine. I do not have access to the underlying cloud, but the support team is stating no issues on their side. The data appears to be fairly intact - I managed to get some of it using 7z[7z l /dev... lists the files on the disk, 7z x /dev/... extracts/moves them]. But fsck + all the hackery I managed to find on the internet and AI fails to make them mountable. Has anyone recently received a response from DDPS.jp? I placed an order, but it has been stuck on “Under Review” ever since. I have also tried contacting their customer service and submitting support tickets, but so far I have not received any reply. I am not trying to accuse them of anything. Hi, I developed a ICMP ping-like utility called oncrpc-ping to measure end-to-end ONC RPC service latency. It sends NULL procedure calls to any ONC RPC service and reports round-trip latency. Output looks like this: index 1 from nfs-server: RPC program=100003 version=4 time=0.412 ms | XID=0x00A1B2C3 index 2 from nfs-server: RPC program=100003 version=4 time=0.387 ms | XID=0x00A1B2C4 --- nfs-server ONC RPC ping statistics --- rtt min/avg/max/stddev = 0.387/0.399/0.412/0.013 ms It supports TCP and UDP, configurable timeouts etc.. So my Friend is from India and he set up an AWS account using Upi Autopay. When first setup was complete, he turned off Autopay. The 100$ free credits were present and credited into his account. But he could not access services as AWS asked to complete account details. So he reconnected his UPI but after doing so His Credits now show as 20$. He did not use any service and Billings do not show any service being used. What happened to his credits? I want to share my experience with DeluxHost so others can avoid them and decide for themselves. I used to hosted all of my personal services (with local backup ofc) on DeluxHost. And as I access my services on web for my day to day work, so reliability was very important to me. About 1–2 months after purchasing my Y-4 VPS, it started constantly getting stuck and becoming inaccessible every 2–3 days. I reported the issue to support and continued using the VPS, hoping they would fix it. I tolerated the repeated freezes for around 3–5 months before finally opening a ticket and asked for refund as the service had become unusable. Instead of processing my refund, DeluxHost kept the ticket open for nearly one months. My refund requests were repeatedly ignored while I was asked to continue troubleshooting. As shown in the attached screenshots, I kept asking for a refund, but they largely avoided addressing it. After a months on 14th July, DeluxHost terminated my Y-4 VPS and told me they issued a refund . However, instead of issuing the refund I had been requesting all along, they generated a new invoice and even attempted to charge my card again for the terminated VPS. Over a week later, I then asked support why I was being billed again for a VPS that had already been terminated and Why the refund hasn't been received in my card. Rather than answering my questions, they terminated my running Storage-2 VPS and issued a refund for that VPS instead—even though I had never requested the Storage-2 VPS to be cancelled or refunded. My refund request was always for the Y-4 VPS, I even added screenshot for Y-4 VPS invoice that they tried to charge me. In the end, I spent almost two months chasing a simple refund request while dealing with repeated downtime, ignored questions, confusing billing, and the unexpected termination of another VPS that was actively hosting my personal services. And They still haven't issued refund the VPS I requested for. I cannot recommend DeluxHost based on my experience. If you rely on your VPS for important services, think twice before purchasing from them. My Y-4 VPS froze every 2–3 days for months, making it unreliable for hosting my services. Some friends of mine who also purchased VPSs from DeluxHost have told me they experienced similar freezing issues, although I can only speak from my own experience. TL;DR: 1. My Y-4 VPS started freezing every 2–3 days after 1–2 months of use. I tolerated it for another 3–5 months while repeatedly asking support to fix it. 2. When the service became unusable, I requested a refund. 3. DeluxHost kept my refund request open for nearly a month, repeatedly ignoring my refund requests while asking me to continue troubleshooting. 4. They eventually terminated my Y-4 VPS, but instead of refunding it, they generated a new invoice and attempted to charge my card again for the terminated VPS. 5. When I asked why I was being billed again and why I had not received the refund, they ignored my questions, and deleted my other STORAGE-2 VPS. 6. In the end, they terminated/refunded my Storage-2 VPS, which I never asked to cancel or refund, causing me to lose all of my data and the personal services hosted on it. 7. I still have not received the refund for the Y-4 VPS that I originally requested after 2 months of troubles . 8. Based on my terrible experience, I don't recommend to buy from DeluxHost. I’m interested to know how non-EU provider (cloud/hosting and even domain registrars) with server locations and services for customers in the EU will handle the issue of "electronic evidence in criminal proceedings," which comes into force in the EU for all providers on August 18, 2026. https://eur-lex.europa.eu/EN/legal-content/summary/electronic-evidence-in-criminal-proceedings.html I haven't seen any discussion about it somewhere and many non EU providers just seems to ingore it which will bring them into huge troubles as they can freeze assets, take down servers for non compliance etc.

We are using Guest Configuration assignments via the Azure Guest extension to apply changes inside our VMs. Everything has been working fine until now, but I've run into an issue. When we update the contentUri in policy (for example, bumping the version from 1.0.0 to 1.0.1 ), all new VMs correctly receive guest assignments with version 1.0.1 . However, existing VMs that are already marked Compliant do not pick up the new version. Since they remain compliant, remediation does not trigger, and the version change is not reflected. I checked whether there is a way to evaluate version in the guest assignment, but I don’t see any supported field for this. How to force a version bump for existing compliant resources so they align with the updated package?
